This amazing hexapod robot was designed by Matt Bunting at the Robotics and Neural Systems Laboratory (RNSL) at the University of Arizona.
The gray plastic was designed in Solidworks, and was created using a Dimension BST 1200es 3D printer.

If you take this robot to it’s logical next step you get something that can learn about its environment and then “evolve” by specifying its own parts to be fabricated. Terrifying!
